2.12 – DCD Heat Detectors

The DCD Detectors are a range of Heat Detectors with both Rate of Rise and Fixed Temperature elements, and utilising thermistors and a linearising circuit to provide an accurate linear response. The DCD-AE3 operates with a 60 °C fixed temperature element, and the DCD-CE3 operates with a 90 °C fixed temperature element.

The DCD Detectors are ideal for use where medium ambient temperatures exist, such as drying rooms or where Smoke Detectors are unsuitable because of the presence of steam or cooking fumes such as in a kitchen.

The DCDs are supported by a range of bases for different applications and these are in turn supported on the majority of conventional systems. A third terminal provides remote indicator output.
