Loop Polarity
When your Ekho system requires more than one Translator wired to the same loop, arrange them as shown, observing loop polarity at each Translator.
Addressing
The start address needs to be unique for each Translator, ensuring the intended address range for each Translator can encompass all the required wireless addresses. This address range also needs to be factored in when considering the overall 127 loop address capacity, and any wired products on the same loop that need to be included.
Operating Channel
The operating channel number is automatically determined at the Translator when a new Ekho system is created. If two Translators are located near each other, check via the Ekho Configuration software that they are each operating on different channel numbers. Operating on the same channel can increase noise and disrupt radio communication.
NOTE: Translators and Expanders must be kept 2 metres apart from each other to avoid cross-contamination of radio signals. They must also be kept away from other electrical equipment, to prevent radio interference conflicting with the system communications.
